Meet our Team

Sara Terwilliger
Director / Teacher
I have been around kids since I was 16. I started out babysitting, then nannying, and finally working in a child care center. I started on the path to get my Directors License 10 years ago and when the opportunity came up to join Partners in Play I jumped at it. I have a background in business and running/owning my own business, however my passion has always been helping kids.

Assistant director / Teacher
Early Childhood Education has always felt like the right place to be in my teaching career. Partners in Play is a wonderful facility and a place that fosters growth, creativity, and a love for learning. I am thrilled to work alongside a team who adores children and shares in the wonder of learning

I have been teaching preschool for 20+ years. I love helping preschoolers self-regulate as they build relationships and learn many new things. As a teacher, I will help build a supportive learning environment for students, and families.

Teacher
I am a passionate teacher, artist, and mother. I have been teaching for just over a year and it has been an amazing journey. Not only do I enjoy teaching children, but I love learning from them as well.

Ms. Rona
Hi! My name is Rona and I am so excited to be a part of Partners in Play Preschool! I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from Mesa University in Grand Junction, as well as continuing education coursework from Red Rocks Community College. I have been in the education field for over 40 years as a teacher, director and administrator. I am so happy to be back in the classroom. I love teaching and learning about the children in our classroom, and their interests. We have open communication where if the students want to learn about a specific theme or idea, I will come up with activities where we can learn and grow together! I am also a very “back to basic’s” teacher. I find ways to teach letters, numbers and literacy in a fun and educational way, through fun games and hands- on activities. I live in Golden with my husband, Craig and our plethora of cats. (Yes, I am that crazy cat lady!) Our newly married daughter also lives in Golden and is the GM of Domino’s Pizza. During my spare time I like to do all kinds of crafts. I like to crochet, do diamond painting and make jewelry. As a two year survivor of Breast Cancer, I am also spending time to regenerate muscle mass that I lost while being sick, as well as living an amazing life with my family. I look forward to meeting all of you and your children!

Teacher
I have been in the field of early childhood education since 2010, bringing over a decade of experience nurturing young minds while continuing my own education — because
teachers never stop learning. Before stepping into the classroom, I served as a Sunday School teacher and co-led our church's youth group alongside my husband —
experiences that deepened my passion for working with children. For me, teaching has always been a calling, and I am so grateful I answered it. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow from the beginning of the year to the end, knowing you played a role not only in guiding their development, but in planting seeds of faith during such a special time in their lives.
